Often I read sayings or quotes about cats and think how particularly clever or funny they are. Some people have the amazing ability to perfectly put into words what the rest of us may be thinking and give us a laugh.

I agree with Lewis Carroll, it doesn't matter what words you use when speaking to the cat, the cat will purr.

Maybe it is more to do with the tone of the voice used.
